Hold your next event at the Historic Cedars …
Built around 1840, The Cedars is Jackson’s oldest surviving residential structure.
Once threatened by multi-family development, the house and property were spared through the coordinated campaign known as “Save The Cedars.”
Today, this two-acre retreat dotted with majestic cedar, oak and magnolia trees provides the perfect intimate setting for special events like weddings, receptions, parties and meetings. The Viking kitchen allows caterers convenient, on-site food preparation and staging. The open floor plan and versatility easily accommodates groups of various sizes. The generous front and back yards can accommodate large groups (weather permitting.) Our Magnolia Lounge provides an intimate escape under a 100-year-old tree.

The Cedars can be reserved for private functions by calling 916-812-5678 or leaving a message at the Fondren Renaissance Foundation office at (601) 981-9606.
Following are the standard rental fees for use of the facility:
Rental Fees Schedule
Weekend Fee (Friday 8 a.m. – Sunday 8 p.m.) $3,500
Two day rental (Friday 8 a.m. -Saturday 11 p.m.) $2,500
One day rental (7 a.m. – 11 p.m.) $1,500
Additional hours @ $100 an hour (Rental times must include set up and tear down)
**A non-refundable $200 booking fee is required to hold a date.
Parties at The Cedars are asked to cease by 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings and by 10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday evenings out of respect for our neighbors. All outdoor amplified music must cease by 9 p.m. The Cedars is a non-smoking facility.
